Roland H. Hartley

Roland Hill Hartley (June 26, 1864September 21, 1952) served two terms as the tenth Governor of the state of Washington from 1925 to 1933 as a Republican.
==Biography==
Hartley, the eighth of twelve children, was born in Shogomoc, York County, New Brunswick, Canada June 26, 1864. Son of Rev. Edward Hartley and Rebecca Barker (Whitehead) Hartley.
Hartley moved down to Minnesota and started a timber business. In the summers, he worked on developing farms in North Dakota. In 1888, he married Nina M. Clough, daughter of David M. Clough.
